My Retreat Experience.
I’ve been putting this off for too long. So here goes. My heavenly encounter.
This retreat, I reached a point of losing it where I stepped out into the freezing night, took off my jacket, and shouted at the heavens above. I demanded to know why I was being ignored. I demanded to know why I was alone.
So I turned my eyes to the sky and asked, “Am I alone? I thought I was safe in your arms.”
Before that moment, I was cold to the point of shivering uncontrollably. As I said that, I felt a warmth rush over me and my shivering stopped. Yet I was not satisfied.
Again I said, “Am I alone? Why aren’t you with me?” And a door opened and out came a kid looking around and called out. Yet I ignored him and hid until he left.
For the last time, I yelled, “Give me a sign! Show me you’re here!” And at that moment, a plane flew above and it’s lights flashed three times brighter than the moon and the stars.
And finally I heard a voice and felt a weight on my heart.
“I am here.”
Lord Let This Love Be Based In You.

Can you believe that? There is someone out there that knows you more than you know yourself. He knows you well enough to put you through a tough challenge, only to strengthen yourself. And when things get really bad, and you feel lonely..and the world is just crashing down, He is standing by your…

My Greatest Fear
My greatest fear is not of heights. It’s not of darkness, or clowns, or endless nights. Not of pain, nor the lightning that comes with the rain.
My greatest fear, is losing you.
To other guys, maybe. To newer skies, sure. But my real fear is losing you because you couldn’t endure. My hardships, complaints, and foolish self hate. My anger and sorrow, and your faith I would break. That I’d leave a critic, angry with love. All because I simply couldn’t be enough. So I’m sorry for messing up. For bringing you shame. I could pass it on, but honestly, I’m to blame. Now I’m not sitting here and begging for you to just stay. I’m telling you, I’m doing my best to change. And if you choose to leave, I’ll be here. To sit and to wait until you reappear.
